Dough Portraits

Danish artist Søren Dahlgaard has created the series ‘Dough Portraits’ of people in his hometown Copenhagen, Kosovo and the Maldives as part of an art project that has traveled around the world. The participants were invited to play with and mold the dough before placing it on their heads. The result is an innovative take of the classical portrait. But why?

Its playful to participate the the subjects identity and dough is something universal we all can relate to.’
