Imagine a very very small place in a very very high density city like Tokyo. Who ever of you was lucky enough to visit that crazy city, knows what I’m talking about. Deep within Bunkyo-ku, one of the more densely populated wards, even by Tokyo standards, lies Ondesigns latest residential project.
+ Read MoreIn a slightly larger than normal crack between two houses they managed to actually built another house. In their typical non-conventional way, they created this narrow but comfortable urban living space. It meets all criteria and discovers a new style of usage as a living environment, inside a small outer space, called ‘The opening’. Thereby ‘The opening’ is a place to move from one building to another building , it is a bay window to put a flower pot, and a space where people use and utilize the most out of it.
