Finding peace, freedom and nature is what mattered most to Gudrun and her House, a cozy little two-bedroom apartment in Mellau of Vorarlberg, Austria designed by architect Sven Matt.
+ Read MoreDue to the tight budget they focussed on the most necessary in terms of floor space and construction. The outside is made from prefabricated timber elements based on a concrete foundation with a large living space, two small bedrooms and the entrance. The rooms are organized around a central core containing the bathroom and technical installations. The interior changes from dark to bright, wide and narrow and a terrace and a west-facing window integrate the nature into the home and offers an idyllic view for Gudrun, where she finds peace and nature, visit of neighbors, rabbits and deer.
