Envisioned by australian Architects McBride Charles Ryan the ‘Cloud House’ is an original contemporary home and an addition to an old double-fronted Edwardian house in Fitzroy North. The house is, as you can see, literally a Cloud.
+ Read MoreThe Cloud is designed in three parts. The street facade has been left and the spaces within the original structure are largely white in colour, united by an exotic floral hallway carpet. The red-coloured ‘box’ is the kitchen, at the heart of the property, acts as a bridge linking the major spaces. The cloud-shaped extrusion is the unexpected final space. Following the form of a child-like impression of a cloud it functions as a playful addition where you can meet up with friends and family surrounded and protected by the curved form.
