INSTA FAVS #30: Alex Strohl

Our Insta Fav #30 is Alex Strohl, a 23-year-old French photographer. Alex was born in Madrid and spent his first 15 years under the austere Castilian sun. He then moved with his family to the south of France before settling in Quebec, Canada, for three years. That is where he took his photography career to the next level.
+ Read MoreThe quiet wildness and immensity of Canada were a revelation to him. Ever since his first visit to a foreign country (the U.S.) when he was 11, Alex has loved to travel. He has traversed and photographed – mostly by himself – just a small part of the Earth, and he intends to keep going as long as there are places he hasn’t seen. His primary motivation for a journey is to soak up the atmosphere of a location or situation and then freeze it in a few shots. His goal is to capture the emotions aroused by a scene of which he is only the witness. Each day as he travels into the unknown, Alex takes joy in allowing his camera to lead him to a face, an abandoned building or a forest bathed in haze.
