Certainly Striking and potentially delicious – Emanuela Franchini’s photographs explore the relationship we have with the food we put in our mouths. The Italian born Photographer enjoys the challenge of pushing herself to take pictures that are difficult to create.
+ Read MoreThe series ‘On Your Face’ was quite demanding for her, as she tells us, since it was very complex to achieve and hid a lot of technical difficulties. Still the images have not been altered with the help of retouching software and all food was applied directly on my face. Emanuela Franchini challenges herself by placing the food directly on her face, preventing her from seeing what she is doing.
The saying ‘You are what you eat’ is given a whole new meaning by combining food and a nude body.
