Having a Face

Almost anyone has the ability to recognize or imagine faces in the most different things – be it clouds, a rug or an ingrain wallpaper. This is called pareidolia, the phenomenon of seemingly recognizing faces in random objects. Lucas Zanotto simply turns tables by actually creating faces with the simplest things.

And just like that he gives stones, trees or farm tractors a facial expression ranging from happy, astonished and sometimes angry. The designer, animator and Graphic designer also created an app for small children that is supposed to animate them ‘to draw animals, learn the alphabet and think outside the box.’
