Nir Arieli’s work ‘tension’ is a stunning series of dancers. Capturing their movements in several pictures, the New York based photographer pieces them to one single image by layering the different photographs.
+ Read MoreSearching for intriguing combinations he lets the viewer contemplate the various movements and newly formed abstractions, that the human eye can not normally see. He sees himself more as a visual choreographer and has found himself actively involved in dancing for the first time, since he isn’t much of a dancer, as he tells us. By more or less using the dancers bodies he creates a unique language of movement that is the outcome of a verbal dialogue between the photographed dancer and him.
