Similar to Michael Wolf’s project Architecture of Density, Manuel Irritier created the work ‘Urban Barcode’, presenting the Megalopolis Hong Kong as a raw abstraction of urban expansion. The viewer is faced with countless habitats that seem to extend ad infinitum. Looking at the pictures, we get an immediate pang of claustrophobia while at the same time feeling lost in the vast indefiniteness of space.
