Surreal Photography by Todd Baxter

Looking at Todd Baxter images, it’s hard to believe that these surreal scenes are created with a camera, not with a brush and paint. Baxter succeeds in loading his painterly compositions with exquisite details; we see hand-made badges, fur scarves, and even exposed entrails that make up his series Owl Scouts. Due to the formal considerations of the photographs and their subject matter we feel instantly reminded of Wes Anderson’s amazing movies.
