Antarctica by Gray Malin

Words

We introduced Los Angeles-based photographer Gray Malin previously on iGNANT and we still can’t get enough of his colorful, vivid works. This time he visited the Antarctica, the last true wilderness of our planet which is dramatically changing just as we start to understand its great significance.

Gray was drawn to the natural landscape of the glacier covered continent as well as the formations of floating icebergs. Using select items that suggest warm and inviting summers provide a perfect contrast, this series captures two parallels coming together and presents a larger message about the changing landscape of our world due to shifting climates. You can purchase prints of the project here, proceeds will go to The Climate Reality Project.
