When and where did you take the picture? Tell us a little about the idea behind it.
I took this photo not too long after I first started Instagram in 2012. One weekend afternoon I was having a slow day bathing with a bath bomb in, and casually snapped the photo thinking it might make an interesting image.
Turns out to be my favourite picture even after years!
Where are you from? How does that place influence the way you photograph?
I was born in Japan, but moved to Southeast Asia before I turned 1 and I had been raised in Kuala Lumpur until very recently I started working in Tokyo.
I find just any place fun to shoot – whether I’m at a beach or in concrete jungle, I can find something that intrigues me. That could be from my multicultural background, perhaps?
Who and what are the things that inspire you?
Shapes and lines always draw my attention, but what’s really keeping me to shoot is the Instagram community – every person I meet via the app is so enthusiastic about photography, that I always have something to learn and be inspired from.
Your favorite Instagrammers?

Which Apps do you use to edit your pictures?
Tell us a little about your everyday. (Family, friends, work, etc.)
I do graphic design. I moved to Tokyo early this year for work and been loving it. This year’s goal (though it’s already June) is to explore this country more. So much in my to-go list :)
