Photographer Dennis DeHart captures his children at play and thus the freedom of childhood. The photos are filled with enthusiasm and a sense of wonder that only a child can have. At the same time, the series that first started in 2010 is a celebration of fatherhood, family and community. “As well as simply enjoying playing outdoors and discovering green spaces near their homes, nature play could include planting and growing vegetables, fruit and flowers; cooking outdoors; playing with the elements or making camps and dens with natural materials”, the photographer says.
