The Outsider / The Insider, A 2-In-1 Chair By Benandsebastian

Danish design duo benandsebastian constructed ‘The Outsider / The Insider‘, a cleverly built 2-in-1 chair. The ‘Insider’ is made of white concrete while the ‘Outsider’ consists of an oak wood structure that can be unfolded “in a form of undressing”, so the designers say. In this way, the minimal form of the piece is revealed. In a statement about the project, the duo says: “The Outsider / The Insider invites reflection upon the enormous complexity and energy needed to convey an appearance of simplicity.”
