Japanese architecture studio Niji Architects designed a sleek and narrow three-story townhouse in Tokyo. On a small land of only 33m², the architects decided for a gable form with high ceilings and skylights to create a sense of spaciousness within. On the inspiration behind the concept, the architects say: “Inside and out, the detailing gives an abstract impression of nothing but space, such that the tenant has only the pure experience of light and sky.”
