Japanese studio DIG Architects created the ‘Blues Design Office’, a minimal building located near Obu city in the Aichi region.
The volume, a combination of wood and metal, features an expansive workplace with spaces such as a computer drawing room and a modeling workshop. An “incubator of inspirations and ideas”, the site’s structure was designed with an emphasis on creating additional room for brainstorming and communication among co-workers. Speaking about the process behind the design, the architects say: “The discordance between space volume and the architectural frame resulted in alot of incidental spaces.”
