A Green Take On The Kitchen Bench

Designer Daria Ayvazova created a concept kitchen which challenges the viewer to question the ecological impact of our everyday routines. Entitled ‘La Cuisine’, the project takes the form of a movable set of trays which incorporate a tank, waste disposal facilities, a self-watering garden and ceramic cookware. In a statement about the project, Ayvazova says, “La Cuisine embodies the idea of social change required by our common future. It’s a hypothesis about the organization of a daily routine in a sustainable and responsible way.
