Made from a combination of white oak and walnut timber, the chair’s design features three legs only, which are sticked together using an innovative joinery system. Founded in 1998, Milk Design specializes in designing basic daily objects such as furniture pieces and home accessories.
In a statement about the piece, the studio says: “Guided by the inspiration of our tradition and its well developed joinery system, the new design adopted the general application and created a subtle variation on the joinery so that the chair carries a mix of classic Chinese beauty, balance, smoothness, stability, and the beauty of modernity, simple, and elegant.”
