Architecture studio Fake Industries Architectural Agonism designed ‘Casa OE’, a holiday house in the Spanish countryside, combining two homes into one.
With the subtitle ‘The Tale of Two Houses’, the brief from the client requested a summer house as well as place to stay in the cold winter months. As a result, the structure’s design features an open terrace on the ground floor, whereas the upper rooms were built inspired by Le Corbusier’s Maison Jaoul. In a statement about the concept, the architects say: “The clients wanted a double house, so they could move from one half to the other, according to their state of mind. They did not like to spend their holidays traveling; they preferred to move downstairs, and do it for real, closing the quarters above.”
