‘Noni’ is a group exhibition featuring young designers from Finland taking place at design fair Ventura Lambrate 2016 in Milan. The design pieces play with different elements such as light and darkness, heat and cold, gentleness and hardness. According to the designers, these contrasts represent their home country – Finland.
‘Noni’ gets to the bottom of the personal perspective of young Finnish designers and illustrates their journey to Finland’s strong craft tradition. The country is so multifaceted that the inhabitants can barely escape the wealth of opportunities. In a description about the presentation, it states, “Wherever we originally come from, living in such an environment has a profound effect on our perception and contributes to what could be considered a Finnish design aesthetic.”
