Shooting In The Sticks With Marcus Schaefer

German photographer Marcus Schaefer shot a menswear editorial for Sleek Magazine, set in ‘the sticks’ near Berlin. Amidst desolate surrounds, the shoot features a range of clothing from the likes of Giorgio Armani, Acne and Dries Van Noten, styled by Patrick Pendiuk in an experimental style. Coats are worn backwards, forming expressive shirts, tops are layered, draped and tied, and trousers with legs of varying length are rolled up. Conveying a distinctly ’70s mood, the editorial blurs fashion’s gender boundaries and in doing so, offers plenty of progressive sartorial inspiration for the transitional seasons.
