For his ‘Sound Of Power’ product series, artist Petro Wodkins created a collection of subversive speakers in the shape of busts of political figures.
The series comes in three different versions, depicting Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un and Margaret Thatcher. Made from a marble-like material, each one of the bluetooth speakers is handcrafted in Sweden and available in a limited edition. In his work, Wodkins explores themes such as power, the media and perceptions of beauty.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the project, Wodkins says: “The series feature[s] powerful people who, in their own way, played the world like instruments and made countries and continents alike march to the beat of their metaphorical drums.”
