Studio ODDNESS has recently presented their first project called ‘Bubblegraphy’ – a collection of vases covered with a soap glaze to create playful surface pattern.
The bubble surface was created through a process of blowing air into the glaze. The designers played with different sizes and locations of the bubbles to highlight the shape of each vase. Hence, every piece from the collection is one of a kind, featuring its own unique layered pattern of bubbles.
Based in Rotterdam, studio ODDNESS was recently established as a collaboration between Thomas van der Sman and Adrian Kundert. Combining their background in craftsmanship and common aesthetics, the designers explore studies on material and create objects that are focussed on shape.
