Working for such big names as Levi’s or RVCA, photographer Kayla Varley’s schedule is busy with fashion and lifestyle shoots. However, she also has an impressive collection of personal photographs filled with emotions and sunny moments.
Hailing from Southern California, Kayla intends to explore in her works what seems to be intimate moments of human’s life. The delicate photographs of girls and nature carry all kinds of emotions: from the sun-warmed nostalgia for the vast lands to mesmerizing peacefulness of the tender yet powerful stills. “A good image is an image with soul, impact, emotion, and good composition. I believe a photographer should always put a little bit of himself into an image. The images that stick in my brain are the ones where I can actually feel the photographer inside the work,” says Varley.
