Peaceful urban sceneries, awe-inspiring landscapes, serene portraits – all these can be found throughout Gabriele Rossi’s works.
“We arrived to the Dolomites, but there wasn’t any snow, not a single snowflake. I can still feel the disappointment.” Born in Latina, a city in central Italy, Gabriele started to photograph while being at university. Having strong memories about being a child and going for the mountain trips with his parents, one day he just decided to take the camera and go back to the mountains instead of sitting at the library.
He began to treat the role of a photographer seriously – after attending a photography course in Rome, he even got an internship with famous photographer Francesco Jodice. Looking at Rossi’s magnificent images taken in different parts of the world, we still have on our mind the memories he shares about his childhood: “Since I was 4 years old, every winter my father took me and my family to the mountain. I will always remember one year. We arrived to the Dolomites, but there wasn’t any snow, not a single snowflake. I can still feel the disappointment.”
