Small Tables Made From Vintage Vases

Founded by Andreas Berlin, Andreas Berlin is a design label offering pieces in limited editions. Having worked for exclusive furniture labels, Berlin started to think about creating his own collection of unique objects. ‘Small Tables’ is a series of extraordinary furniture pieces made from vintage vases. The idea was to understand a vase not as a product, but rather as a segment of a sculpture. For the first few pieces from the collection, the designer used around 800 old vases found at flea markets and antique shops around Berlin. It took a lot of patience to find the perfect combination, as each ceramic vase has different dimensions and its own unique geometry. The result of this unique experiment can be seen at this year’s edition of DMY Festival, which kicks off today in Berlin.
