Spanish studio PYO Arquitectos undertook the renovation of a disintegrating house and stable in Parrés, Spain.
Located on a steep south-facing mountain slope, the house’s facade was redone in local stone and white concrete. Its staggered interiors were preserved, and its supporting walls replaced by pillars to ensure daylight and an open flow, guided by a metal staircase. The stone and timber stable, which was in significant disrepair, was rebuilt with the same materials. Deep windows were installed in reference to the original stable doors.
