Known for multifaceted sculpture cast in marble resin, British artist Nick Hornby is one of the young talents taking advantage of computer modeling. Each piece is a composition of the most eminent art historic images that manifests themselves only from affirmative perspectives. For his sculptures he uses a computer generated model before cast into three-dimensional objects by using materials including bronze and marble resin. Hornby develops abstract shapes by integrating aspects of iconic sculptures and architecture in order to create an innovative design through reshaping, moving and warping forms. For the viewer, it seems to take the shape of different popular sculptures of the past while moving around the art object. The hidden agenda of Hornby`s sculptures is not only the technological use of creating potential new worlds, but also a way of exploring alternative ways of seeing art.
