In collaboration with Dazed, the eyewear company Luxottica presents its ‘Class of 2016’ campaign, photographed by Fumi Nagasaka.
The concept of the campaign is based on the idea of a high school yearbook, showing six models, styled by Dazed’s senior fashion editor Elizabeth Fraser-Bell. Portrayed as different high school stereotypes, Hari Nef plays the role of teacher, while the 95-year-old Iris Apfel plays the rebel. With this concept in mind, it made sense for Nagasaka to produce this campaign in a school in New Jersey, shooting the different characters in classrooms, canteen and gym.
Every model comes from disparate worlds and generations, getting together for Luxottica’s ‘Class of 2016’ campaign. With protagonists like Mae Lapres and Instagram It-boy Mike the Ruler, the eyewear campaign wants to prove that glasses are an every-season accessory, no matter what age or origin.
