Polly Brown Prints Out Her Mistakes

Although many of us would rather forget about the bad decisions we made in the past, Polly Brown does something exactly opposite in her latest project.
“Plastered, printed and posted, the project is an exercise in exorcising.”A series of double-sided posters, ‘On Reflection‘ proudly announces enigmatic slogans: “Should have left first”, “Believing you”, “Never go back”. By printing out and thus publicizing what would be otherwise gladly forgotten, Brown tells about the importance of admitting the personal mistakes in our way to deal with them and learning how to succeed. “Plastered, printed and posted, the project is an exercise in exorcising. It’s about admitting mistakes, announcing them, recording them and maybe even avoiding them,” says the artist. In the end, is there a better way to stop making things we regret than remembering the errors from the past?
