Annelise Michelson’s Ode To Earth, Fire And Volcanic Spaces

Whilst working in the field of ready-to-wear fashion, Annelise Michelson created jewellery pieces to help with a friend’s project. This encounter presented an artistic output that she found herself better suited to, marking the beginning of her eponymous jewellery label. Her ‘Solar’ collection celebrates the organic, sculptural forms of nature, and honours the sculptural work of Anish Kapoor. Inspired by earth, fire and volcanic spaces, the pendant and earring collection explores the graphic, visceral flow of a lava stream, and utilises negative space in the ethereal shape of a burning crater. The editorial campaign was shot by Samuel Bradley, visually aligning the collection with the details of a natural environment.
