Carefully curated by the team behind Ark Journal, ‘3daysofdesign’ was a recent exhibition showcasing 16 furniture brands. The exhibition was held within the walls of Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s Festsal—one of Copenhagen’s most impressive and elegant buildings.
Located at the heart of Copenhagen, the Kunsthal Charlottenborg Festsal is one of the largest exhibition spaces in Europe. The revered building dates back to the 1700s, and once consisted of the Hall of Knights at Charlottenborg Castle, a ballroom and banquet hall. Today, the space is used for teaching, seminars, and exhibitions. As is typical of Scandinavian design, the focus of ‘3daysofdesign’ is on craftsmanship, functionality, and simplicity. The exhibition features pieces marked by their light, muted color palette, and their use of materials such as wood, glass, and stone. ‘3daysofdesign’ consists of understated and clean pieces, including items such as the sculptural table and floor lamps by Danish lighting designer Tom Rossau, the stylish ‘Float High Sofa’ by furniture designers Eilersen, and the new ‘Circle Dining Chair’ by Overgaard & Dyrman. The images of these pieces below were captured by Katerina Dima of the design blog Only Deco Love.
