The Weird And Wonderful Foliage Of San Francisco

Whilst wandering around her neighbourhood in San Francisco, photographer Kelsey McClellan frequently began to notice the presence of bizarre looking trees and bushes. Here, we follow along with her journey; where McClellan has been documenting the strangely shaped flora around the city. The compiled images present an amusing inventory of neighborhood surrealism. The pom-pom and spiral-shaped trees have been tended to and trimmed as part of a collaborative community project. Appearing to look like green cloud formations, the trees in McClellan’s series invent a playful narrative for the gardens and their owners, and present a wonderful neighborhood sight should you happen to pass by.
