#ignt_silhouette Winner Mohamed Riadh Larbi

Every Thursday we announce a certain topic via a hashtag, afterwards you’ll have 4 days to make a photo working with that topic and upload it to your Instagram using the hashtag. Who shot the best image will be featured as our Insta Fav in the following week. This weeks topic is #ignt_whiteonwhite and here are a few rules and tips:

– This weeks goal is to create a creative image that features white shades or white objects on white backgrounds.
– Please only submit your own photographs to the project and keep them in a square format. Any image tagged until Sunday 0.00 am MESZ is eligible to be featured right here.

When and where did you take the picture? Tell us a little about the idea behind it.

This picture was taken on April 24th during a trip to Copenhagen with my friends @tomtehh and @eskimo. We met some local instagrammers there. Johan @johansoj joined us for a walk through the new suburb of Ørestad in Copenhagen on a rainy evening. As he walked through that spot I went like “Johan Stop! Please go stand right there! I think I’ve got a silhouette.” This shot reminds me of how spontaneous and amazing were our meet ups with Copenhagen local Instagrammers despite bad weather.

Where are you from? How does that place influence the way you photograph?

I am originally from Tunisia. But I currently live in Hamburg, Germany. Hamburg Citizens believe that their city is the most beautiful city in the world. So do I, especially when I take photographs in Hamburg :-)

Who and what are the things that inspire you?

Family and friends have always been my biggest source of inspiration. Meeting new people and exploring new places arises my creativity and make me see things differently.

Your favorite instagrammers?

My #hansegang boys: @tomtehh, @eskimo and @themodernleper are three Instagrammers from Hamburg. We met last summer on several InstaMeets and since then I’ve been (re-)exploring Hamburg with them and considering it from a different angle. I never thought before that it would be possible to make friendships through a social media platform.
@itisnovember and @pramudiya are two professional photographers with a passion for portraits.

Which Apps do you use to edit your pictures?

I’m using VSCOcam and Snapseed to edit my pictures.

Tell us a little about your everyday. (Family, friends, work, etc.)

I’m studying Biomedical Engineering. I also work for a medtech Company.
I never was interested in photography until I bought my very first smartphone one year and five months ago and joined Instagram. Since then mobile photography has become my favorite hobby.
