Botanical Illustrations With Body Parts By Marcela Cardenas

In the series ‘Bilaterias II’, Columbian multidisciplinary artist Marcela Cardenas creates quirky, yet elegant, botanical illustrations by strategically blending body parts with plant imagery. The end result is a set of imaginative drawings with a vintage look-and-feel that evokes a sense of humor. Cardenas, who is from Medellin, works across mediums including drawing, printmaking, sculpture and photography.
