With a penchant for shooting with analogue film, Georgian photographer Mariam Sitchinava captures her surroundings in soft portraits and landscapes. Based in Tbilisi, Sitchinava gives us a glimpse into a day in her life spent with her daughter and friends in the area around the capital.
Specializing in portrait as well as fashion photography, the self-taught photographer’s work has been exhibited throughout the country. The following images perfectly depict Sitchinava’s self-described passion for shooting nature and women.
30 – I wake up in the morning cuddling with my daughter.
15 – We go out to buy some vegetables and fruits at the organic market on the outskirts of town.
00 – We take a trip to a lake near a greenhouse for some fresh air.
20 – Back home I prepare food for my daughter.
00 – I head out of town with the girls. The road to our destination is quite interesting.
30 – We arrive at the town and take a look around.
50 – We venture into the woods. The light, sounds and smells are relaxing and totally different here.
30 – On the way home the light is beautiful.
