Working in the fields of furniture and interior design, Samuel Amoia was the first contemporary designer to be commissioned by DeLorenzo Gallery in New York.
Exhibited alongside the creations of such designers as Jean Michel Frank, Jean Dunand and Eileen Gray, the pieces in Amoia’s collection are made of crushed semi-precious stones, such as lapis lazuli from India or African red jasper. Other materials used in the collection include brass, aluminium and nickel shavings. Amoia, who has collaborated with the likes of Dior, Stella McCartney and Dover Street Market, established his eponymous studio along with his brother in 2015.
