A Portable Seat Hidden In A Book

Hidden in a large concrete-grey notebook is a portable stool that flips open to provide seating in the blink of an eye. Hong Kong-based designer Mike Mak successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign to get the project off the ground in 2015. Entitled ‘Bookniture’, each piece consists of an origami structure only weighing 1.2kg yet capable of carrying up to 900kg. While not in use, Bookniture makes a stylish addition to any bookshelf.
