Spanish architecture studio Mesura brought to life the dream of a couple with a redesign of their holiday home and pool in the village of Sant Mori, Spain.
Centred upon the outdoor pool area, the renovation revitalised the holiday home’s indoor-outdoor flow, optimising the use of its outdoor spaces, with a shady canopy and a storeroom concealed by a generous facade, which together create a graphic, harmonious interplay of light and shadow. The architects describe their so-called ‘proposal of minimum intervention’ as “A simple horizontal element, which generates shade and transforms dramatically the interior/exterior perception. It is not under the sun rays where architecture is experienced, but under the shade’s shelter.”
