A Fashion Spread In Perspex Sheets

With Novembre’s fashion director Georgia Pendlebury, London-based set designer Thomas Petherick presents a sculptural fashion editorial wrapped in plastic.
The series designed by the pair looks like no other — outfits are styled between sheets of perspex, pressed like petals between pages of a gargantuan flower press. As an empty glove holds a golden flower in bloom and a blue suit ambles across the page, it looks as if the model has simply vanished from the frame. In others images from this editorial, the clothes take on a more sculptural form, piled on top of one another like a well-curated imagining of a teenager’s bedroom floor. Thomas’ set design commonly uses absence as part of a wider aesthetic strategy. This coupled with the vision of fashion editor and model, Georgia, makes what could be a strange Cryovacked experiment every bit the editorial success.
