Sol, A Jewelry Collection Inspired By The Dominican Sun

Arnó is originally from the Dominican Republic, and draws on this aspect of herself as inspiration for the new collection—specifically her nostalgia of endless sunny days experienced in her native island. ‘Sol’ features gold and silver rings, necklaces and earrings, each with a distinguishable solar motif: crescent moons, spherical saturns, and various sized hoops that can be layered upon each other, symbolic of the planetary system that moves in circular orbit. Arnó says that her fascination with aligning planets makes her collection an abstract study of the solar system. “The most seductive thing in existence is the beauty of nature”, reads her artist biography. “It speaks to us without words. It attracts us”. All pieces are handcrafted with recycled materials by local, independent artisans from the Dominican Republic.
