Just beyond the medieval town of Treia in Italy stands a 300-year-old farmhouse where old meets new. After a fire in 1995, ‘Casa Olivi’ was reimagined as a holiday home—retaining its heritage listed exterior, but with a thoroughly contemporary interior.
Undertaken by Swiss architects Markus Wespi and Jérôme de Meuron, the interior renovation has transformed the site into a neutral but homely space filled with light. Measuring at almost 5000-square-feet, ‘Casa Olivi’ has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and an open-plan living space on the ground floor. Completing the transformation from farmhouse to luxury villa, ‘Casa Olivi’ also houses designer furnishings, external patios with cooking areas, a Japanese grill, and an infinity pool with views of the rolling hills beyond the property.
