‘Culture First’ is a temporary exhibition dedicated to the emerging scene of collectible design and functional art. VAUST from Berlin and CØR from Paris have joined forces and developed this format to build bridges not only between art and design, but also between the two creative capitals of Paris and Berlin.
With this Franco-German connection, the idea is to create a format that connects the emerging collectible design scenes in both cities and to broaden their audiences on this culturally relevant axis. By showcasing the work of artists and designers like Milena Kling, 6:AM Glassworks, Illya Goldman Gubin, Obscure Objects, etc. who are pushing boundaries in both Paris and Berlin, the exhibition aims to foster an appreciation of the diverse cultural expressions and innovative approaches within the field of collectible design. In doing so, it not only celebrates the talent and creativity of individuals, but also encourages dialogue and the cross-pollination of ideas across geographical and cultural boundaries.
The exhibition started in Berlin (25/05-16/05) and will be inaugurated in Paris on 23 May 2024 (exhibition: 24/06-06/06).
