KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art opened its doors on Saturday with a site-specific exhibition by Swiss artist Roman Signer in the Boiler House of the former brewery complex in Neukölln. The new art space is still in the making and will offer three levels for exhibitions as well as a café and a bookstore. The current installation entitled ‘Kitfox Experimental’ features a plane hung under the almost 20-meter high ceiling. More info about the exhibition can be found here.

Then there are powerful fans on the walls that cause the plane to move, since it is hanging from a joint that can be turned very easily. And so the wind is supposed to cause the airplane to turn, as if it were spinning in a nosedive as it plummeted downward.”
