Grey Clouds and a bit of Sun
Sky at different times of the year have different qualities. The changes of light and dark and the many layers of clouds diffusing all the colours from the hidden sun create a gloomy yet subtly coloured sky. Inspired by indirect warm orange glow of the sun in a cloudy view, the vessels that were created for coffee form a cloudy landscape with a hint of warm orange glow using the transparent properties of glass and diffuse reflection on matte porcelain surfaces. The coffee cups are a reflection of Nordic skies through material and colour. Colours have a subtle yet powerful effect on how we perceive the environment around us. Colour can easily be used as an ingredient in food. The subconscious is at work while we eat and drink from tableware with different colours and textures.
