Less is More: Minimal Street Scenes

“Less is More: Minimal Street Scenes” by Moisés Rodríguez: “I believe in the phrase “less is more”; I think the simplicity in a photograph can intensify and engage the viewer’s imagination so it would be them who build a story based on what they see. The city and their places are full of people, but each one are alone and with his walk integrates differently in the spaces without knowing it. The compositions, negative spaces, vanisihing points, symmetries, patterns, etcetera, are just excuses to integrate the loneliness in my frames. On the other hand I love the processing in Black and White and my inspiration comes more from the cinema than photography itself. Movies like “Citizen Kane,” “Psycho” and “The Exterminating Angel” left me clear that it is not necessarily the color that gives beauty to the image, but the harmonic distribution of the elements involved in it.”
