Modern cityscapes
‘Modern cityscapes’ is a photography project by Simas Lin done in 2014. Everything started with my recent journeys through the world of the elements: “I was driven by the concept that environment is a system composed of fragments that consists of forms that are made up of shapes and every single of them is an inseparable part of the beautiful whole. Step by step I developed an individual and unique view of the surroundings which was based on a vital importance of the details and started showing up in my photography work. I started looking into the environment as into the boundless puzzle full of intersecting lines, forms and shapes, but still remaining very minimal and aesthetic. ‘Modern cityscapes’ is a study of the environment as the strict whole and a humble try to dematerialize it.”
