Secret Areas / Homage to Paul Virillios “Guerre et Cinema”

Inspired originally by the book “Guerre et cinema” by Paul Virillio. Like in a shot from Star Wars or Stanley Kubrick’s apocalyptic saga „2001: A space Odyssey” in these images these traces of earlier space programmes lie in the dessert of Nevada. „War and cinema“, this term coined by French philosopher Paul Virilio dominates the scene in these pictures and the question arises if these objects are coming from the future or the past, from the dream factory or from reality.
