The Empty City By Francesca Occhi
I didn’t mean to end up in Venice, I just decided to leave Ferrara, but when you decide to leave such a beautiful city you can just look for a more beautiful one. “The empty city” is a photographic project idealized with the graphic designer Sebastiano Girardi. Venice, the city among the cities, represents to me a neutral and empty space, without any personal references. That’s why I need to orient myself in the area, understand its geography, look at it from different viewpoints, set some points in the space, some coordinates. A loss leads you to recreate stability. The white line is the sign that Sebastiano superimposes to the image as a result of the thought.
